This is another kind of kichadi/pachadi served in Ona sadhya. Okra is a popular health food due to its high fiber, vitamin C, and folate content. Okra is also known for being high in antioxidants. Okra is also a good source of calcium and potassium.

INGREDIENTS
Bhindi-250gms
Yoghurt/curd, beaten -1cup
Salt- to taste
Oil- ½ cup

TO GRIND:
Grated coconut- ½ cup
Green chilli-2
Mustard seeds-1tsp

TO TEMPER:
Mustard seeds- ½ teaspoon
Dry red chilli-2
Curry leaves- ¼ cup

PROCEDURE
  • Wash the bhindi and wipe it or allow to dry. Finely chop the bhindi and deep fry in oil.
  • Grind coconut and green chilli and as fine paste. Add mustard seeds with the paste and pulse for 2-3 times. Mix curd with this coconut paste.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, dry chilli and curry leaves.
  • With the fried bhindi, add coconut masala and tempering then mix well.
