Of all Broccoli Recipes i loved this Indo Chinese broccoli preparation"Broccoli Manchurian". Today i made this Broccoli Manchurian for lunch and I wanted to post today itself that much tasty. I found hard to resist from taking a bite even before preparing the gravy. I started eating fried broccolis and worried am i able to complete this dish. I loved this Broccoli Manchurian than Gobi Manchurian.
Irresistible taste. So yummy with fried rice or rotis and parathas. So juicy tasty broccolis. I am sure people who dislike broccoli would too find it delicious. So tasty fried broccolis can be served as a appetizer or snack that itself. I have used here yellow capsicum to make the dish little colourful. You can use green capsicum too for this recipe.
INGREDIENTS:
To make Fried Broccoli:
Broccoli, chopped- half big head (1 cup)
All purpose Flour/ Maida- 6 teaspoons
Corn flour- 3 teaspoons
Tomato sauce-1 teaspoon
Soya sauce- 1 teaspoon
Salt- to taste
Sugar- pinch
Oil- to Deep fry
To make Manchurian:
Oil- 2 teaspoons
Onion, cubed- 1
Green chillies, chopped- 2
Garlic- 3-4 cloves
Capsicum, cubed (green or Yellow)-1
Corn flour- 2 teaspoons
Salt- to taste
Sugar- 1/4 teaspoons
Tomato sauce-1 teaspoon
Soya sauce- 3-4 teaspoon
Spring onion, chopped to garnish-1

PROCEDURE:
- Add all purpose flour, corn flour, soya sauce , salt, sugar and water and mix well as a semi thick slurry.
- Dip the broccoli florets till the oil gets hot so that the essence of the batter enter into the broccoli.
- Heat oil in a pan and add onion, garlic and green chillies and cook in that oil.
- Once the onion starts to loose its colour add the capsicum and saute in the oil.
- Cook capsicum for about a minute (the crunchiness of the capsicum should not leave)
- Add Soya sauce, tomato sauce, salt and sugar to balance the taste.
- Add the corn flour slurry(dissolve corn flour in a cup of water) and allow the gravy to become thick. Check for salt and add (sugar/ salt)if required.
- If you want more gravy add more water and season it with pepper powder. Garnish with spring onions.
