PROCEDURE:
- In a bowl add eggs, sugar, salt, vanilla essence and oil; beat till nice and fluffy.
- Sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda; add the whole lot and mix well.
- Divide the whole batter into two equal parts.
- Take the cocoa powder in a bowl and add three teaspoons of batter from one bowl and mix well to combine.(To avoid forming lumps in the batter)
- Then add the the cocoa batter to the other batch of the batter bowl and mix well to combine.
- Keep tablespoon sided ladle or big spoons for vanilla and chocolate batter.
- Grease the cake pan with butter and dust with flour and remove the excess flour by tapping the pan.
- Add two tablespoons of vanilla batter in the centre of the pan then add two tablespoons of chocolate batter. Likewise add the whole batter till you finish the batter as shown in the picture.
- Preheat the oven oven to 180oC for 15 minutes.
- I have baked the cake in 20 cm cake pan and took me about 35-40 minutes of baking time.
- Bake the cake till the skewer inserted comes out clean.
- Note: If you like to get finet lines in this cake add a tablespoon of batter.
- You can use desired food colour in one half of the batter and make in this pattern.
